Alireza Shojanoori: Pre-Screening Programs, Talkbacks at Fajr
25 March 2018 - 14:30
Fajr International Film Festival is proud to announce its pre-screening program and talkbacks in which A-Listers and cineastes will introduce movies to Festival goers.
Program manager Alireza Shojanoori says this year’s program will comprise of directors, actors, actresses, and critics, who will give a brief description of movies prior to the screening in both English and Persian languages.
He added that one of the main responsibilities of the program is to ensure audiences will get all the necessary information about the Festival movies they are going to watch. This will include publication of catalogues and handouts, billboard announcements, coordination with directors and producers, as well as holding specialized Q&A sessions at universities and academic centers with cast and crew members.
According to Shojanoori, the whole idea is to allow audiences sit down and talk to filmmakers and arrange talkbacks with various casts and crews. The program is intended to help filmmakers, producers and distributors to successfully market their films as well. It’s important for filmmakers to network and have their projects seen by wider audiences. It’s also important to spark a dialogue and challenge movie goers to dig a little deeper by not only watching the film but participating in the Festival screening process via Q&A sessions, surveys, panels and so on.
He says the program will start when the final line-up is announced. Then the organizers will ask the creators of selected national and international movies to attend the pre-screening events. They will have about five minutes to offer a few of their personal thoughts and experiences.
For all Festival goers who are already planning their visit, check screening time and other information at www.fajriff.com, or email us at email@example.com.
