Born in Vilnius, 1987, Karolis Kaupinis graduated from Vilnius University with MA in Comparative Politics. His first short film The Noisemaker (2014) was selected to Locarno film festival and was screened at more than 50 international film festivals and wining two Lithuanian Film Academy awards. Kaupinis’ second short Watchkeeping (2017) premiered at Indie Lisboa Film Festival and was selected to 20 international film festivals. Nova Lituania is debut feature film by Karolis Kaupinis.
