The story based on the novel of Fazil Iskander - classic of Soviet literature he lived in Abkhazia and has Persian origin: his father was from Iran. Sofichka is the name of the heroine whose life from 1938 till 1960 is the subject of the film. Exile, love, murder of her husband by her own brother - her life is difficult, but full of sense.
