In a small village of nomads, there is a sacred tree, which holds the secrets of generations. The village is very peaceful and serene. A young man, Esen, from a poor family is in love with Begimay, the daughter of the main lord – ‘bai’- of the village. But her father despises the young man and humiliates him at every opportunity. One day Esen, mad over losing an unfair game, steals meat prepared for important guests, and gives it to his dog. There is a scandal in the village, it is impossible to cook another meal, but there is no firewood. In order to cook the meat, they cut down the sacred tree -“Mazar”. Everything changes overnight, chaos ensues. Hard trials are coming for everyone. The nature generously gives goodness, but at times, it cruelly punishes those who don’t honor its laws. Esen and Begimay run away. They wander around, are reborn, take fateful actions and change their life and the lives of their people. “The Song of the Tree” is shot according to the legend based on the real events which were handed down many generations ago. It will tell about injustice, courage and a pure love.
