A specialized session titled “A Night with Arseny and Andrei Tarkovsky” was held on Thursday, November 27, at Honar Shahr Aftab Cineplex in Shiraz as part of the side programs of the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival. The session featured Aleksandr Trofimov, Russian filmmaker and film critic; Igor Viktorovich Levshin, Russian poet, video director, and musician; and Zahra Mohammadi, associate professor and specialist in Russian Language and Literature from Iran. The speakers explored key aspects of Andrei Tarkovsky’s poetic cinema, focusing on the interplay of sound, poetry, and spiritual structure in his films.
