The jury members for the Photo and Video Section of the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival have been announced.
Alfred Yaghobzadeh, a renowned war photographer; Behrouz Shoeibi, filmmaker and director of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society; and Majid Saeedi, documentary photographer, will judge the submissions in this section. Each of these three artists brings an extensive background in photography, filmmaking, and visual storytelling.
The Photo and Video Section is centered on themes of peace, resilience, and defense. An exhibition of selected photographs from this section is currently on display at the Honar Shahr Aftab Cineplex in Shiraz.
This section also includes short videos under one minute – some shot on mobile phones and others with professional cameras. In addition to the 12-Day War, these works explore other international conflicts.
The 43rd Fajr International Film Festival, directed by Rouhollah Hosseini, is taking place in Shiraz from 26 November to 3 December.
