On Friday morning, 28 November, and on the third day of the Fajr International Film Festival, a group of festival guests visited the Tomb of Hafez in Shiraz. Rouhollah Hosseini, the Festival Director, accompanied the delegation during the visit.
Among the attendees were participants of the Talent Campus, who described the atmosphere of Hāfezieh as remarkably beautiful and inspiring, capturing its iconic features through their lenses. International filmmakers attending the festival also paid their respects at the poet’s resting place and took photos with visitors who had gathered at the site.
A live performance by the Nouban music ensemble, alongside the filmmakers’ tour of the historic complex, added a vibrant and uplifting mood to the experience.
More than 60 films are being screened at this year’s festival across competitive sections — International Competition, Eastern Vista, Future Frame, and The Broken Olive — as well as non-competitive categories including Retrospective & Restorations and Festival of Festivals.
The 43rd Fajr International Film Festival continues through 3 December.
