The Photo and Video Section of the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival was curated under the themes of peace, resilience, and defense, inviting visual narratives from across different countries. Following a detailed selection process, works by 41 photographers were chosen for exhibition.
The showcased collection includes photographs from Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon. Among them, works by 37 Iranian photographers are featured, along with three photographs from an Iraqi photographer and three from Lebanese photographers, all displayed across the exhibition walls.
The photographers whose works have been selected for this year’s exhibition are:
Farhad Babaei, Saeed Ghasemi, Sobhan Farajavan, Mohammad Mirzaei Niri, Arash Mazaheri Hemmat, Samaneh Pourabdollah, Behrouz Ahmadi, Ali alfahdawi (Iraq), Maryam Davarnia, Fatemeh Alipour, Faezeh Kaboli, Hossein Tohidifard, Peyman Hamidipour, Alireza Mokhtari, Bahman Nouri, Mahtab Baghersadeh Shakhali, Ali Nejatbakhsh Esfahani, Soudabeh Shayegan, Amirali Navadeh Shahla, Mehdi Hasani, Hamid Asvad, Masoud Shahrestani, Mohsen Zare, Shahla Kalantari, Hasan Shirvani, Adel Bakhoda, Ali Hamed Haghdoust, Ali Sharifzadeh, Ali Moaref, Mohammad Reza Alimadadi, Mohammad Mehdi Pourarab, Marzieh Soleimani, Ali Hadadi Asl, Hadi Dehghanpour, Zohreh Salimi, Mohammad Hassan Salami (Lebanon), Maher Abutaleb Qamar (Lebanon), Mohammad Hassan Shehadi (Lebanon), Meysam Taherkhani, Reza Fallahi Motlagh, and Meghdad Madadi.
This section of the festival was organized under the supervision of Mehdi Ashna, an Iranian photographer specializing in cinema and theater. The selected works offer an artistic exploration of the recent 12-day conflict, capturing its transformations through the lenses of both Iranian and international photographers.
The 43rd Fajr International Film Festival runs from 26 November to 3 December in Shiraz.
